The sequence below describes a typical technical delivery for process and piping installations and is not tied to a specific project.

    Project basis and model setup

    Review of P&IDs, line lists and discipline models. Agreement on level of detail, system breakdown, naming and material specifications. Setup of model structure, pipe catalogues and templates.

    3D design and cross-discipline coordination

    Modelling of process pipework and utilities with slope and drainage where the system requires it, and with room for cleaning, operation and service. Coordination of penetrations and interfaces towards cleanrooms, plant rooms and structure. Continuous clash checking against other disciplines.

    Prefabrication and production documentation

    Spool breakdown accounting for transport, installation sequence and access routes. Isometrics with weld numbering, material and component schedules, so it is unambiguous what is to be procured, welded in the workshop and assembled on site.

  4. 04

    Installation support and as-built

    Resolving queries during installation, incorporating changes and updating the model and drawings so the documentation reflects the installed plant at handover.
